We accept cash, checks, & major credit cards. Booking Fees are due at the time of booking, with the full session amount due the day of your session.  Please let us know how you will be paying prior to your session in case we need to bring a credit card reader with us.

Yes, provided you follow through with your session. If you decide to cancel your session the retainer paid will not be refunded.

The sooner the better. The longer you wait to book with us the more of a chance you take having very limited days to reserve. Saturdays are generally not an option for us due to weddings taking up most of those days. However, if you need a Saturday session that is only 2-3 weeks away we can look at it and see if we are available.

Life happens, we know, so if you need to reschedule, please call us at least 24-48 hours in advance. Our session retainer fees are non-refundable, but you may use it for a one-time reschedule (if called within the 24-48 hour window) to be scheduled within six months of your original appointment date.

That’s really up to you, but there are many great spots for family photography and it usually isnt hard to pick a great place.  We can offer some insights and advice on locations if you need it once you have booked us. We’re also happy to come to you at your home or other location. Typically we try to stay in a radius of 20 miles from the Katy Tx area. So, anywhere in that area is fair game. However, we can go anywhere you want to but there may be an additional travel fee depending on the location.

Our studio is owned and operated by myself, Scott and my wife Becca. When you book with us we will be the photographers you will work with during your photoshoot.

This is totally up to you.  If you’d like to be in the same colors that you think would look awesome in your home then that’s great.  If you’d like to be coordinated but matching then that’s works as well. If you want everyone to wear what they are comfortable in, excellent.  We do say when asked that loud print shirts can be distracting, but if that’s what you want to do, go for it.  The most important thing to us is that you are relaxed and comfortable in what you are wearing.

Our family Portrait session last about an hour. We will setup several poses in carious locations so there will be some variety. If time permits you may do some individual photos of people in your family. Grandparents are always a good idea to use this time with.

Sure!  Pets are totally family members!  Please make sure they’re groomed, well behaved, and on a leash.  Bring plenty of treats and a few chew toys, to be safe. If we feel your pet is becoming agitated and seems to be a danger to our staff or those around us we will ask you to have the pet removed from the session. The Studio will not under any circumstances be in charge of your pet during the session. If you feel like you will not want the pet in some images or that they might need to be removed from the area please have someone appointed to be at the session that can assist with your pet.

We do not allow cell phone photos or any other digital images to be taken of our work.

The short answer is, yes you can change clothes. However, the time tends to go very quickly and time used changing clothes will eat into your time. For that reason we do not recommend a different look unless your planning to book an additional hour for the session.

We understand that this is the gulf coast in Texas and the weather can change on moments notice. Our priority is our staff and our clients safety and we will make a decision to reschedule your session if we deem the conditions to be unsafe for the session to occur. We will make every effort to try to get the session completed but we can and will cancel the session up to an hour before your scheduled time if we feel the weather is going to be a problem.

We require a signed contract and a non refundable retainer of $125 to be paid at the time of booking. When you arrive for your session this will be applied to your balance for the session. If you cancel your photo session the retainer will not be refunded.

Yes! Generally, we provide basic color corrections and minimal retouching for your proofs. We retouch all photos that are chosen to be printed and/or included in your photo album. Should you require extensive retouching on a photo we will review it with you and provide  you a quote to complete the work.

Yes, all of your proofs are viewable online by anyone, anywhere in the world through your password protected site we provide. This site allows your friends and family to order any of the photos online.

Your password protected gallery will be available in about 10 days to four weeks after your session. During peak season (e.g. Christmas), the turnaround time may vary by a week or so.

You are always welcome to order more prints. Unfortunately, you cant make copies. All images are the property of Caffreys Photography and are protected by federal copyright laws. Duplication in part or whole (whether by scanning or reprinting) is strictly prohibited and will be prosecuted by law. This includes posting scanned images to social media websites! Please call if you have questions as we want to work with you to help you share your images with friends and family.
